Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) is an interdisciplinary national society of women and men who support equal opportunities for all in science. The mission as an organization is to build a global community to inspire, support, recognize, and empower women in science.
The goal of Minority Graduate Students in STEM is to develop a community for underrepresented students that builds confidence through faculty mentorship and skill gap filling. This group also serves as a network for faculty and staff who have similar interests in increasing and retaining diversity.
Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM) is a national society dedicated to educating and fostering leadership for LGBTQ+ communities in the STEM fields. The mission is to educate, empower, and engage a diverse community, and to identify, address, and advocate for the needs of LGBTQ+ students in the STEM fields.
