Originally from Pennsylvania, Allison Deal graduated from Penn State in 2005 with BS degrees in both statistics and math from the Eberly College of Science. She moved to North Carolina to attend graduate school at the University of North Carolina's Gillings School of Global public Health, and earned her MS in 2007. For the past 14 years she has worked at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center as an applied biostatistician. In her role she collaborates with oncologists and researchers of all specialties and assists them in grant and protocol submissions, statistical analyses, and abstract and manuscript preparations. To date she has co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed articles. She has particular interest and expertise in clinical trials, survey research, and other population sciences study methods.
